Founded in 2015, the public organization "Fortress" (Ob'yednannia Patriotichnykh Syl "Fortetsya") quickly established itself as a leading force in Ukrainian civil society. By uniting individuals from various professions, the organization has focused on protecting human rights, particularly those of military personnel and veterans. Close cooperation with other prominent public organizations, such as "Anti-Corruption Action Center" and the "National Anti-Corruption Committee," has yielded significant results in this area.
"Fortress" has not limited itself to human rights activism. Active participation in reforming arts education, providing humanitarian aid to military personnel and civilians, and offering psychological support have all become integral parts of the organization's activities.
With the onset of the full-scale invasion, "Fortress" members joined the defense of their country, protecting Kyiv region from Russian invaders. Today, most of them continue to serve in a volunteer formation, fulfilling military duties alongside the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police, and other defense forces, according to assigned tasks.
The organization is also actively working to mitigate the negative impact of the war on the psychological well-being of children and adults. "Fortress" psychologists provide assistance to both military personnel and civilians. Additionally, the organization conducts vocal classes for children, contributing to their emotional recovery.
Electronics engineers who joined "Fortress" after 2022 have developed modern mobile electronic warfare systems that are already saving the lives of our defenders at the front.
"Fortress" continues to actively develop and seek new opportunities to assist Ukraine and its citizens.
